Parents on strike, over their lazy kids.
Cat and Harlan Barnard moved out of their home in Enterprise, Florida and set up a tent in their driveway.
They refused to cook, clean or drive their children - Benjamin, 17, and Kit, 12 - until they shape up and do their chores.
"We've tried reverse psychology, upside down psychology, spiral psychology and nothing has motivated them for any length of time," Cat Barnard, 45, said on Wednesday as she sat in a lawn chair at an umbrella-covered table decorated with Christmas lights in her driveway.
Hm, I have an idea.
Maybe they don't do any chores BECAUSE THEIR PARENTS ARE IMBECILES.
What kind of moron does this kind of thing?
Not moron, fuckwit.
It's your own fault that your kids are lazy bastards.
And what exactly is upside down psychology? Really? Or did you just make it up for hyperbole? OH NO YOU DID!
No damn wonder your kids do shit-all. Anyone who tries reverse psychology is quite obviously so stupid they qualify for a disability pension, let alone anyone who tries it and then makes up the term "spiral psychology" and directs it to SOMEONE WHO WILL PUBLISH YOUR DOWNRIGHT IDIOCY.
But of course the other asshole American parents make hilarious and insightful comments about the "strike". One bright, shining example is: "Why didn't I think of that?" [insert hick-like donkey bray laughter and straw hat].
GOD adults are so fucking stupid sometimes. "MY TEENAGER IS LAZY" WELL HARD DEE HAR HAR YOU MY FRIEND ARE A GODAMNED COMEDIAN.
So, to Cat and Harlan Barnard, I say:
YOUR INTELLECT IS RIVALLED BY GARDEN TOOLS AND RETARDED GLOVE PUPPETS. GOOD LUCK TO YOU!

While my own thirty-something daughter has always been extremely responsible, let me ask: You are Benjamin Barnard's age, I'm his father's. What recommendations would you have for Harlan, beyond moving back into the house and stopping complaining about his kids?
I do the dishes. I clean my room. I offer to help around the house.
I am never asked to.
I'm no parent. I know parents make mistakes, everybody does in every position in this world. I can't make huge recommendations about how to solve this, all I can say is as a teenager, I know that acting like children is not going to help.
I respect my parents as adults, and they treat me like an adult, well as much as possible- I am not an adult.
My rantings on this blog are that- rantings. I do not agree with what these guys are doing- they are acting particularly stupid. That said, other than ceasing the bitching, and acting like adults I don't know what they should do.
